Bring Up Task Manager In Windows/Android/iPhone
A task manager is a system tool which is inbuilt in the operating system which monitors CPU activity and also tells us about the apps which are working on the operating system. Task manager basically provides us with statistics about our system hardware usage. It also gives us information about what processes and applications are running on the computer. Desktop or windows users also use task managers for the elimination of unwanted applications or the apps which freeze. So today we are going to have a look at the importance of task managers in windows, android users, and iPhone users. Let’s begin considering one by one-
Windows Task Manager-
Microsoft has provided many inbuilt features to their users. Most of us are using windows on our desktops instead of using LINUX or other operating systems. Here the point comes is Microsoft has given a very easy interface for accessing the different features of the operating system even if you are not a computer expert and this is the only reason that windows is above any other operating system. Out of these important features a task manager is an inbuilt program in every version of windows like 7,8 or 10.
Task manager is intentionally used to eliminate the frozen apps from the system or if the user wants to have a look on the CPU usage. In case it needs to be explained more as it does not limit at this point. There are many other features and importance of task managers which you don’t know till now. But now you will know as you are reading the true and authentic information.
The basic way of accessing the task manager is pressing the combination of different keys like CTRL+SHIFT+ESC or if your computer is fully frozen then you can access by a combination of CTRL+ALT+DEL, this will bring you to a lock screen from where you can tap on task manager and access it. Task manager has different tabs included in it like Applications, Processes, services, networking and users. We will now discuss these features and see what are the functions and importance of these features in the operating system.
Application tab-
this tab shows us the current applications which are running on the computer and also allows us to close the unwanted apps. This feature doesn’t allow us to check the hardware usage or every system process of the computer. You can end tasks here or switch in between the tasks and also start a new task. Using this tab is very common and most people are aware about it.
Do not miss: How to disable integrated graphics?
Process tab-
this tab tells us about all the processes in detail whether it is a system or application process. It also shows us about the detail of the processes, in combination it also shows the CPU and memory usage of the system. You can also end some processes from here.
Services tab-
this tab shows the system services and the services which are running or have stopped. It does not tell much about the application details but yet you can open it and access the real file location of the services. Here you can also manage and allow some services to work or restrict the unwanted system services.
Performance tab-
this tab helps in providing the details about the performance of the computer. It gives us stats like CPU usage, memory usage, disk space usage, wifi, and GPU usage. Here you can know what amount of workload your computer is facing. And also check the number of cores working to execute tasks.
Networking tab-
this tab is for those users who use the internet on their computer and want to check the network usage of their system. It has two columns divided which show LAN (local area network) and wireless network connection. It gives you stats about network utilization and link speed and also tells which network is enabled or disabled.
Users tab-
this tab is useful if your CPU is on a multiuser mode and operating two different user accounts. It shows how much processor and memory part is divided between the different users. You can manage user accounts whether to keep or end any user account process if your processing is becoming choppy or frozen.
Windows task manager has now become a nice considerable feature as many of us have desktops which are still running on Pentium and atom dual-core processors. This system hardware is not powerful enough to carry out heavy tasks in windows 7 or later versions of Windows 11. The computer lags so much that it becomes annoying to operate the system smoothly. In case this feature can be used to fix these problems. You can quickly follow the shortcut key ctrl+shift+esc and close the program you want to. Also, the task manager is a perfect tool to check your computer hardware efficiency and performance.
So these were some key points about the windows task manager and what is its importance and in how many ways it can be useful, now we will talk about the next one-
Android Task Manager-
Like Windows, Android has also some facilities to delete background apps and check the data usage and memory usage. The android system does not have a complete collection of functions in one set like a windows task manager has, but still, you can check all stats of your android smartphone through some different approaches. There are many different task managers available on the google play store and also If you do not want to add some more app storage then you can reach everything on your own. Today I am going to talk with you on both of the topics and tell you how you can access your android task manager and manage apps with both easy and typical approaches.
Direct Access-
The first method to approach the android task manager with all features like your desktop is just opening the play store and installing task managing apps, these apps have a very basic interface and easy access to all your processes and CPU management. Some of the good-rated apps I will discuss now.
Advanced task manager-
It is a very lightweight and effective task manager app which allows you to kill tasks and free up memory. People with low specification score smartphones can Install this app to speed up their phones. It also has additional features that keep your phone on standby mode and save battery consumption. It works well with android nougat 7.0 and supports all the smartphones with Android Lollipop 5.1.1 and later. Developers keep on upgrading apps with new features and bug fixes so it is better to go with this app for direct access to your task manager.
MeisterTask-Task Management-
This is another android application which has a good ranking on the google play store. You can use MeisterTask for your task management. This app comes with various other features like setting up new tasks, closing some of your programs automatically after a specific time provided by the user. Also, you can assign your tasks which you want to complete in your daytime, you can move or swap tasks which you want to be done after completing other tasks first. It is also equipped with a great feature of Time Tracking which helps to get correct analysis that for how much time you have worked on a specific app and what was it’s consumption throughout the process, so checking on these data you can get details for how much time your apps were working in active mode and background mode.
This is a nice and popular one with 500k+ downloads and has a 4.5+ rating so you can definitely go for this app as it keeps updating it’s new features in a few days.
Approaching to the task manager programs by your own-
The recent apps pane is also a small part of task manager as it helps you to wipe out unwanted running apps and speed up your mobile speed and efficiency. The task manager of android is generally found in settings->app management_>manage background apps. When you execute with the above strategy then you will reach the background apps and can manage your apps whatever you want to keep or stop the process.
If you want some of the apps to prevent them from starting then you can restrict app background activity by accessing the specific app settings. Now the question comes is how much of your memory is used by these apps and how much storage is used. To check this you can approach it by clicking on your mobile about the section and accessing to the storage and memory management and check the app background activity like which app is consuming more RAM? Which apps are heavier and harder to handle by CPU. You can select your apps on your priority basis and take a good analysis of your mobile memory and storage.
Many of us who use a basic smartphone are bothered with frequent mobile freezing, poor gaming experience and do not get a cool feel while using the smartphone. You can also fix this as you do in the computer task manager, you have to restrict some of the system apps which you can enable by reaching the developer options and selecting the option of no background process. It will highly restrict all of your background processes.
So these were some ways discussed for android task management and how you can bring up task manager in your android. Now let us discuss the last one operating system i.e. IOS
Task Management in iOS-
IOS is an operating software which is developed by APPLE which is an American MNC which is famous for technology and specialization in consumer electronics. When it comes to the security of operating systems from hackers and vulnerable viruses, IOS stands alone. Despite having a very high-security level and a very user-friendly interface, IOS users are still searching to boost up their performance and trying to access the task manager pane in their iPad iMac or iPhone. So now I am discussing some of the ways to bring up a task manager in iPhones.
Basically, iOS does not have any specific monitor or task manager till now but still, if you are searching for something to check your phone activity then you need to stand with third-party apps. These will help you to show what the background processes are actively running in your background.
If you are searching just to kill the recent apps in case I want to ask these users that when you click on your home button what do you see? It is basically a window which will help you to delete your recent apps which are running backwards and free up your memory. Still, you need to know more of your iPhone then you can install these third-party apps from the app store of your iPhone-
Grab Device Stats-
Grab device stats is a third-party application which may not be the best but still, it is a decent and free application you can consider to get to know a lot about your system. After installing this app when you will open it, you will see an interface with so many tabs, these tabs are the processes which are running in the background of your iPhone, it also indicates the total number of processes like Gmail, camera, gallery, videos, including your system processes like your clock, alarm, ios theme, etc. However, you can stop the user applications activity but it is still not able to kill system processes as the operating system itself does not allow this action.
Still, some people might be thinking of killing the background system processes that are unwanted. So do not worry about that I have a secret tip for this also-
Using top or pxaux is the deadline-
Users that have jailbroken their ios system I mean root of their ios system then they can try this one method to delete the unwanted system apps. You just have to install a mobile terminal app and use the command ‘top’ to see all active processes and you can kill them and when you will command ‘ps aux’ then your iPhone will give you stats about your live CPU and memory usage. It is a mastermind task manager of ios, but be careful as it can also make your system crash if you disable something which is executing like operations in your hardware. This option is fairly limited as it will only work for jailbroken devices.
Omnifocus-
This app is very popular among iOS users because it is a well-known task manager app. You can install this app from your app store and take care of your tasks. As an iPhone user, you need to install at least one third-party app as there is no inbuilt app in ios till now. It comes with a GTD feature also which enables you to get things done on time. You can take care of the system apps and check how much of your time is spent on specific tasks and also a good feature app that keeps on updating itself with time. You can operate or plan your daytime tasks which you are going to perform in different time slots. In this way, you can not only get your iPhone usage stats but also can improve your daily time efficiency.
This app has a decent rating and can be a good one for iPhone users.
BOTTOM LINE-
Bringing up a task manager in different operating systems is a nice way to check system stats and increase system efficiency. You just need to have the proper guidance to operate different tabs of the task pane. Without the proper knowledge, your system can crash and become dead just like a faulty case of an inexperienced doctor.
